about

Schooltime Special is an instruction piece by Cornelius Cardew written in 1968. The piece consists of several questions in different sections to be read by each musician individually. It leaves much space for the musicians to interpret the piece by following the answers to the questions: “Do you want to play a note? Yes, Play one”, “Can the note or noise rise? Yes, Raise it”, and so on… The piece was included in the A4-Score boxed set.
